Kemi’s journey began with a childhood passion for dance, yet she prioritized her education, attending private school and eventually earning her degree from Georgetown University.
After experiencing success in Corporate America, she felt a need for change and took a break to join the Peace Corps in Honduras. There, she immersed herself in rural communities, embracing a lifestyle focused on health and wellness.
An unexpected encounter with the controversial Dr. Sebi prompted deep reflection, leading Kemi back to her true love: dance. She made the bold decision to leave her corporate career behind and pursued intensive training at renowned institutions like Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and Martha Graham Dance Academy back in America. Over the next decade, she showcased her talents on prestigious stages worldwide, including the Apollo, BET, and Coachella.
Recognizing the importance of flexibility in her craft, Kemi delved into contortion training at UniverSoul Circus. Inspired by the profound physical and emotional liberation she experienced through contortion, she dedicated herself to mastering this art form relocating to Las Vegas, NV, the epicenter of contortion.
Through her journey into contortion, Kemi experienced profound physical and emotional transformation. She discovered that the deep stretches not only enhanced her physical abilities but also facilitated deep personal growth by alleviating fears, reducing stress and anxiety, and fostering a greater sense of self-awareness.
Drawing from her dance and contortion experiences, Kemi developed Bodi Kemistri, a comprehensive program that combines movement, flexibility, and mindfulness techniques to regulate the nervous system, alleviate bodily tension, and promote overall well-being.
Today, Kemi shares the transformative power of Bodi Kemistri with others, guiding them on a journey of self-discovery, healing, and empowerment. Her mission is to empower individuals to unlock their innate potential and live life with serenity and ease through movement and alignment.
